Playa Tamarindo, a costal jewel on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast, is a tropical haven known for its stunning beaches, vibrant surf scene, and an all-encompassing Pura Vida atmosphere. Sunny skies and warm temperatures, allowing you to take a 10-minute bicycle ride, or 20-minute walk, to downtown Tamarindo to enjoy the local culinary culture and vibrant nightlife. Surrounded by Rincon de la Vieja National Park, where you can hike to waterfalls and rejuvenate in hot springs or visit Palo Verde National Park to enjoy wildlife encounters.

Trip Details
Includes: 2 meals per day, breakfast and three-course dinner, 2 yoga classes per day, private ground transportation from Liberia Airport to Cala Luna Boutique Hotel, full-day jungle adventure group excursion, local cultural group experience and bicycle rentals. Next stop, paradise! Transportation from Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport to Tamarindo includes a one hour private shuttle ride. Please send Savanah your roundtrip International flight details from PHX to LIBERIA as soon as they are booked to coordinate transportation. All ground transportation will be coordinated for you and is included in your pricing - shuttle is scheduled based upon recommended flight option arrival and departure time.
Please note - This retreat does not begin until 01/06/2026. If you decide to travel in early or stay later, please notify Savanah, travel coordinator. We do not schedule the transportation or activities outside of the retreat dates.
Excursions
Jungle Adventure - CANĚON DE LA VIEJA
One day full of 7 tours and activities, 45 minutes each. Zipline, horseback riding, tubing, hot springs, volcanic mud bath, rock climbing and rappelling.
Cultural Experience - Sweat Lodge
“American First nations from the North, Central and the South used to gather in this sacred ceremony before hunting, sun dance, vision quests or as a way of life to connect with the Sacred Mystery. The intention is to clean the mind, the body and be in balance within.”
Some symbols in this ceremony are the fire representing the opening of the Sacred Mystery; 28 stones which are the bones of the earth and a dome shaped structure symbolizing the womb of our Mother earth. We enter this womb to be born again.
A fire is lit directly outside the sweat lodge, tended by a highly trained fire keeper who heats up the stones that are used to keep the temescal hot. The fire keeper places the stones in a hole in the center of the lodge, adding tobacco and aromatic herbs as an offering.
Cala Luna and the town of Tamarindo offer multiple other adventures to help you see and explore the stunning country of Costa Rica! You are welcome to book and explore the area on your own! *Canon De La Vieja and Sweat Lodge are the only excursions included in retreat schedule/pricing.*
